Although a blog is not supposed to be the drudgery of a daily chore, one would suspect it would command attention a little more often than once a year.
I mean it's sad, sad I tell you, when I can't muster up enough energy to write on these pages at least once in a while.
Actually, I beat the annual post by a couple of months so I appear to be on the road to recovery. Right!
News at the golf course involves our club getting a new golf professional. I won't go into why the previous pro is no longer with us but after 20 years with the same guy, it becomes a big deal to go through the process of employing someone new.
Stay tuned ... and I mean that with some sincerity!

Life at the Golf Course

It's been over a year since I last posted so dear readers I ask for forgiveness. Truthfully, I'd forgot I had this blog going. I'm kind of the impulsive type so I'll try any old thing until I tire of it or, as in this case, forget about it.
Meanwhile, out at the golf course, we have had a number of changes to report. We have a new tee box on our 5th hole. This makes this hole much more dramatic. After navigating the hole, a great view of a bald eagle nest awaits every golfer. The flood damaged 2nd hole has nearly repaired itself as have the 12th and 13th greens.
We had our earliest opener ever. March 16th we opened the course. The weather in March was reminiscent of May with temps upward in the 80s. April weather is, well, like April. Here's hoping that May will be May.
Enough for now. Fore!

Green Bay Stackers vs. Pittsburgh Peelers
It's Super Bowl time! Our club has an annual Super Bowl party that encompasses food, drink and an extra- curricular game involving the ever-changing score. Green Bay takes on Pittsburgh and promises to be a defensive battle. Me - I will be pouring drinks and snacking on the hors'd'oeuvres.
It will be a fun time!
